The Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Division of Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery is seeking a Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgeon. The position will hold the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
This position will serve as a Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgeon for the Division of Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) within the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics with an active inpatient and outpatient practice focused on Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery.
Faculty members are expected to supervise mid-level providers assigned to the clinical practice location. Faculty Members are also expected to demonstrate outstanding activity in the teaching aspects of the Department. Specifically, this would include:
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must have a terminal degree (MD or DO), successfully completed a -year ACGME-accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program and a 3-year ACGME accredited Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) fellowship or equivalent. Candidates must have completed an ACGME/AOA accredited residency in obstetrics and gynecology. Candidates must also be ABOG board eligible or board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in FPMRS. Licensure by the Georgia Composite Medical Board will be required prior to commencement of employment.

The Division of Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery:
The Division of Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery serves women with pelvic floor disorders through high-quality patient care, innovative educational programs, and state-of-art research. The scope of our Division’s practice includes evidence-based care for the treatment of pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, and sexual dysfunction. The Division also provides advanced minimally invasive gynecologic surgery for women with pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, mesh-related complications, obstetrical injuries, and fistulas.
Services are provided at The Emory Clinic Building A, Emory University Hospital Midtown, Emory Women’s Center at Emory Saint Joseph’s, Emory Women’s Center at Emory Decatur Hospital, and Emory Johns Creek Hospital as well as Grady Memorial Hospital.
The Division’s Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship is a multidisciplinary, 3-year ACGME accredited program for qualified candidates who have completed a residency in either urology or obstetrics and gynecology. Fellows in the Emory Program complete a one-year research project for their thesis incorporating clinical, translational, or basic science research methods.
