The Role
Oxfam International Asia Regional Platform is looking for a Feminist Influencing Lead – Climate,
Nature and Communities who is responsible to effectively lead and deliver agreed plans and
strategies. S/he will lead cross program and inter – program (e.g with Mekong Regional Water
Governance and Fair Finance Asia) learning and create and maintain linkages between country,
regional, global and technical areas, and undertake external representation in high level forums. This
role has a specific responsibility to lead on influencing strategy and advocacy including building feminist
approaches to policy and advocacy capacity within the program (with partners and teams). S/he
commissions and oversees research, designs campaigns and advocacy strategies and builds alliances
and networks to achieve the program’s influencing goals.

Who we’re looking for
We are looking for a Feminist Influencing Lead – Climate, Nature and Communities with:
• University degree in International Development, Environmental and Social Sciences or relevant
degree with comparable level of professional experience
• Minimum five years of extensive experience in natural resource governance influencing,
preferably from a rights based approach
• Demonstrated experience in documenting management practices and working with quality
management systems
• Strong understanding of rights-based approach in natural resource governance and climate
justice
• High-level analytical ability to support interdisciplinary research and evidence based influencing
work – preferably working on issues related with complex natural ecosystems like
transboundary rivers.
• Demonstrated experience building effective working relationships with a range of key
stakeholders, including but not limited to governments, private sectors, global/regionally active
civil society organisations or multilateral platforms, regionally and globally
• Strong knowledge of the Asia context with emphasis on South Asia
• Experience in policy analysis and commissioning research gained in an INGO or public policy
context
• Champion of feminist leadership principles and values including commitment to diversity and
inclusion
