Position Overview: The Field Assistant will play a vital role in the successful implementation of construction projects undertaken by Hungarian Interchurch Aid (HIA) in Sinjar, Nineveh.The role holder will be responsible for monitoring the construction progress, identifying and reporting any issues encountered during the project, and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals and support.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Monitoring:
Monitor the construction progress of ongoing projects in Sinjar-Nineveh.
Conduct regular site visits to ensure adherence to project timelines, and safety protocols.
Identify and report any issues or deviations from the project plan to the line manager promptly.
Project Reporting:
Compile comprehensive reports on the progress of ongoing construction projects.
Provide detailed updates on project challenges encountered, and resolutions implemented.
Stakeholder Liaison:
Engage with stakeholders including local authorities, community representatives, and relevant organizations.
Facilitate communication and collaboration to obtain necessary approvals and permissions for project activities.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with community members and leaders.
Address beneficiary concerns, feedback, and complaints in a timely and respectful manner.
Support to Engineers:
Assist engineers in the implementation of project activities as required.
Provide logistical support and coordination to ensure smooth project implementation.
Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot technical issues and provide practical solutions.
Contractors Coordination:
Communicate project requirements, timelines, and expectations to contractors clearly.
Address any concerns or discrepancies raised by contractors and escalate to the project officer when necessary.
Perform any other tasks assigned by the direct supervisor.

Additional information
The Applicant should possess a valid driver’s license and be responsible for his/her own transportation for daily trips to the project site. He should also be available to travel to Talafar, Mosul, or Erbil when necessary.
