Project Summary  

The Peace and Freedom Organization, in partnership with Pax, has been implementing the “Power of Voices: Transformative Justice” project. This project focuses on promoting the rights of marginalized victims and survivors. Through a series of advocacy campaigns and initiatives, the project empowers a network of dedicated advocates to champion these crucial rights and drive transformative change. This project is being implemented in alignment with another project, “Restoring Dignity,” in partnership with Amnesty International.

Main Tasks

Duties and Responsibilities: Under the overall supervision of the Director of organization, and direct supervision of the Project Managers, the Field Coordinator shall perform the following duties:

 

1. Grant Oversight:
   • Work closely with volunteers to ensure that activities implementation achieves the project objectives and deliverables.
   • Monitor the implementation of grants, assessing progress against agreed-upon timelines and goals, and submit the activities reports to the project manager.
   • Participate in activities and conduct site visits to grantees to assess their activities and provide guidance.
2. Capacity Building for Grantees:
   • Provide support and coaching to volunteers when needed, according to the project objectives.
   • Offer technical assistance to enhance their ability to effectively implement projects.
   • Facilitate knowledge exchange and learning among grantees.
3. Advocacy Support:
   • Collaborate with volunteer advocates to develop advocacy strategies aligned with project goals.
   • Provide guidance on engaging with local stakeholders, government officials, and other key influencers.
   • Support advocates in articulating their needs and concerns to relevant authorities.
4. Monitoring Grant Compliance:
   • Ensure that volunteers adhere to project guidelines, policies, and ethical standards.
   • Implement monitoring mechanisms to track the proper use of grant funds.
   • Address any issues related to non-compliance promptly.
5. Community Empowerment and Advocacy:
   • Engage with local communities to empower them in advocacy efforts.
   • Facilitate community-led initiatives that advocate for the rights of survivors and affected individuals.
   • Mobilize communities to actively participate in advocacy campaigns.

 

6. Data Collection:

• Conduct field visits to gather data on the impact of conflict and reparation efforts.
• Collect information from affected individuals, communities, and relevant stakeholders.

 

7. Monitoring:

• Monitor the implementation of reparation programs and initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with established standards and guidelines.

8. Documentation:

• Document stories, testimonials, and evidence related to the impact of conflict.
• Maintain detailed records of individuals and communities affected.

9. Coordination:

• Collaborate with other field coordinators and project teams.
• Ensure effective communication between field operations and central project management.

10. Community Engagement:

• Engage with affected communities to understand their needs and concerns.
• Facilitate community meetings to gather input and feedback.

11. MDR Reporting:

• Prepare regular reports on field activities, findings, and challenges.
• Provide updates to project managers and stakeholders.

12. Knowledge Transfer:

• Share insights and findings with the broader project team.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing sessions within the organization.

• To hold Bachelor’s degree, higher is preferable.
• Minimum two year of humanitarian field experience.
• High professional ethics and confidentiality standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic.
• Highly motivated
• Familiarity with the local community and authorities.
• Computer literacy.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational abilities.
• High professional ethics and confidentiality standards.
• Flexibility regarding working hours, including weekends.
