Bahar Organization is an independent non-profit and non-governmental organization that provides humanitarian aid to vulnerable people without any discrimination in all its forms. BO is operating to respond to the needs and basic requirements of the humanitarian crisis in Syria in the middle of the affected communities caused by the conflict the basic principles of BO’s activities are to enhance the basic living standards of the affected population by delivering humanitarian aid based on the needs.
Purpose of Position:
Field Finance Manager is a professional who helps in executing the general administrative and clerical duties. Financial coordinator responsibilities comprise maintaining the financial records, balancing the books, identifying the discrepancies, providing resolution, generating reports, etc. Thus, his responsibilities are mostly of administrative and supportive type that would help in the achievement of the goals and objectives designed by the organization.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Required to work in accordance with the accounts (Finance Officer) in order to prepare financial statements.

Needs to keep a check on the expenses incurred as well as the fund received by the organization.

Is required to evaluate the money required for new business projects and the risk involved in making the investment.

Ensure accurate and timely financial data into the standard registers as required.

Ensure payments are processed after complete supporting documents submitted to the Finance Department.

Ensure all submitted EERs are reviewed timely.

Assist Operation Coordinator in audit preparation to provide required information

Prepare projects financial reports and Budget vs Actual analysis as required Perform site and partner monitoring visits.

Source documents and payment packages are reviewed and all outstanding issues are addressed before processing.

All cash and bank transactions are made into standard register on a daily basis.

All payments processed after complete supporting documents submitted to the Finance Department.

Abide by the security policies and procedures and report any incidents or breaches to line manager.
Academic Qualification/s and Professional Experience:

Bachelor degree in “Accounting, Finance or relevant field”.

Hands-on experience with budgeting and risk management.
-
At least 1 year experience in donor reporting.

Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models.

Proficiency in accounting software.

Solid analytical and decision-making skills.
-
Leadership abilities.
-
Good knowledge of English language “spoken and written”.

Good communication and social skills.
-
Accurate, structured, flexible and responsible.

Experience with accounting applications and online ERPs.

Solid knowledge of accounting principles.
Work Environment and Conditions:

Willingness to work in a location different from what stated in the contract.

Willingness to work for extra hours as necessary.
