Under the Health and Gender Support Project (HGSP) and in collaboration with the Non-Communicable Disease Control (NCDC) program, DGHS and the World Health Organization (WHO), The Maternal and Child Health Division of icddr,b is going to implement a project to Strengthen the Implementation of Non-Communicable Disease Control and Prevention Programs in all the Upazilas of Cox’s Bazar District and Forcibly Displaced Myanmar Nationals (FDMNs) in the refugee camps of Cox’s Bazar. icddr,b in close collaboration with other stakeholders will introduce a Supportive Supervision system for basic NCD services in all DGHS-supported health facilities, and in some selected primary health care facilities situated in FDMN camps of Cox’s Bazar.
The Field Research Assistant will report to the Senior Field Research Officer. The position holder will be responsible for program Implementation and supportive supervision in the health facilities of different tires. S/he will be involved in:
  • Carry out monthly visits to the community clinics as per the prescheduled plan and SOP;
  • Observe the NCD service delivery at community clinics;
  • Identify the gap in NCD services according to the NCD management model;
  • Collect information from the responsible person and manage the database in consultation with the supervisor;
  • On-spot observation of the available logistics;
  • Maintain regular communication with the respective facility manager for smooth operation;
  • Share feedback with the supervisors about field activities timely for quality assurance;
  • Support in documenting all the reports and monitoring tools for the study;
  • Participate in the monthly meetings and share monthly reports;
Required qualifications and experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline; 
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in data collection using TAB;
  • Being able to understand and speak in local dialect will be an added advantage.
