Field Research Assistant

The position holder will be working in the project funded by IDRC Canada that explores the intersections between the work environment and lived-experiences of working women living in urban informal settlements before, during and after the COVID-19 pandemic; and co-create and test knowledge interventions at micro- meso and macro-level to strengthen preparedness for infectious disease outbreaks and future pandemics in urban poor and occupational settings.

Key responsibilities:

The Field Research Assistant reporting to the Research Investigator will be responsible for data collection, analysis, developing study tools, reviewing literature, etc.  S/he will be involved to –

• Collect data from field;
• Analyze data both qualitative and quantitative;
• Identify monitoring tools for quality assurance of data and feedback to the supervisors about field activities timely;
• Provide input and guidance to the implementation team as required to execute research protocols and interventions and conduct high-quality research;
• Conduct literature review;
• Assist supervisor in report writing;
• Work with supervisor for developing questionnaire and study protocol;
• Carry out other tasks assigned by supervisor.

Required qualification and experience:

• Bachelors degree in relevant discipline.
• 3 yrs.
