The Alliance for Combating TB in Bangladesh activity is working to establish a dynamic, strategic, and fresh approach to accelerate Bangladesh’s fight against TB. The solutions will be aimed at creating an environment aligned with the universal health coverage (UHC) vision and focused on defined priority areas – increased TB detection, decentralized DR-TB management, improving detection and management of child TB, expanded prevention, and others.
The Field Research Supervisor will report to the Assistant Coordination Manager. The position holder will be responsible for planning, organizing and implementing research, data collection & checking consistency, supervise and follow up day to day operation of TB Screening and Treatment Centers (TBSTC) in line with the objective of National TB Control Programme (NTP) and organizational values and guidelines. The Field Research Supervisor will report to the Assistant Coordination Manager. The position holder will be responsible for planning, organizing and implementing research, data collection & checking consistency, supervise and follow up day to day operation of TB Screening and Treatment Centers (TBSTC) in line with the objective of National TB Control Programme (NTP) and organizational values and guidelines. S/he will be involved in–
- Develop activity plans and communicate the plans with TBSTC team;
- Ensure uninterrupted logistic support to the TBSTCs;
- Follow up activities of TBSTC staff, check data for accuracy, compile and prepare reports;
- Supervise and monitor data collection of field staffs,
- Maintain quality assurance of data in the field through direct observation;
- Provide administrative and logistic support for field activities,
- Maintain effective engagement with community, team members, partner NGOs and other stakeholders;
- Assess and build network health service providers;
- Analyze the number of patients referred by the doctors and pharmacists;
- Maintain visits/liaison with them highlighting referrals of TB presumptive and patients;
- Implement project activities as per plan;
- Validate and observe interviews on site;
- perform regular field visits and conduct meetings with the staff to ensure quality data;
- Mentor TBSTC staff and guide them to pursue optimum level of responsibilities;
Required qualification and experience:
- Masters degree from any discipline; However education can be relaxed up to Bachelor degree for candidates with extensive experience in the Tuberculosis field;
- 3 years of working experience in field implementation of development programs. Experience with the implementation of TB program activities will be an added advantage.
