Field Service Engineer, Medical Opthalmic Laser Systems

  • On Target Earnings Circa £53,000
  • Basic Salary Up To £42,000
  • Car Allowance £6,600 (plus mileage rate of 45p & 25p per mile)
  • Bonus £4,000
  • Train & Underground Paid If Required
  • Pension

The Role – Field Service Engineer, Medical Opthalmic Laser SystemsFollowing expansion, they seek to recruit a technically motivated and customer focused Field Service Engineer, responsible for:

  • The service and breakdown repair on a wide range of sophisticated medical opthalmic systems, utilised within theatres, NHS departments and private healthcare environments
  • Visiting customer sites and providing customers with valuable solutions for troubleshooting
  • Liaising with a whole host of external customer contacts, including clinicians from within the NHS and a range of private independent healthcare organisations and laboratories

Your Background – Field Service Engineer, Medical Opthalmic Laser SystemsTo be considered for this exciting role you must be able to demonstrate:

  • Strong background working in a field service or technical support role, gained within a high value electronic capital equipment environment
  • Qualified to a minimum ONC or HNC level or above in electronics or another relevant technical discipline
  • Impeccable customer service skills, an interest in IT and the ability to remain confident in customer facing environments
  • Applications are encouraged from field service engineers from a wide range of electronic sectors, including AV / audio-visual, medical device, biomedical engineering, laboratory device, surgical systems, print press, semi-conductor, ex Forces (Radar / Avionics / Weapons Systems, RAF, Royal Navy and REME and Biomedical Engineers), audio-visual systems, industrial / commercial imaging or other areas of electronic manufacturing.
