icddr,b is a Bangladesh-based international health research institute that strives to solve key public health problems through high-quality scientific research and innovation. icddr,b as a values-based organization encourages women and people with disabilities.
The Program for HIV and AIDS under the Health System and Population Studies Division (HSPSD) at icddr,b provides good quality HIV prevention services to key populations at risk of HIV infection since 2010. This has been made possible by working with the Government of Bangladesh (GoB), donors, NGOs and CBOs. Recently, the Program for HIV and AIDS has taken several initiatives to reach Hard-to-reach community groups with an innovative service delivery approach.
The Field Supervisor will report to the Assistant Program Manager (APM) and will be responsible for contacting and motivating the key populations to enroll into the project activities as well as monitor and supervise the project participants frequently at the field sites to enable them to initiate socially acceptable livelihood measures sustainably. S/he will be involved in:

Support the project team to communicate and enroll the key population (KP) on various project activities;
Conduct regular field visits to the enrolled KPs to monitor their progress and update the APM regularly following the project guidelines and;
Organize life-skill training, group psychoeducation, health education sessions, advocacy meetings with different stakeholders etc.
Communicate with the community leaders, peers and other local stakeholders about the different project initiatives;
Prepare expenditure bills for different project activities;
Provide input to prepare narrative reports and compile programmatic data to provide periodic program updates;
Assist the APM and other project members in providing referral for health care services and accompanying the participants to the Government service centre;
Maintain close liaison with the family members of the KPs, local healthcare service providers, community leaders, influential stakeholders, law enforcement agencies, CBO, Drop-in-Center (DIC) staff and relevant organizations.

Required qualifications and experience:

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with good academic records;
At least 1 year of experience in any health-related/social development-related project/ program. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience working with key populations at risk of HIV and AIDS at the field level or who belong to the community (MSM, MSW, Hijra).
