What we are looking for
Finance management experience within a humanitarian/recovery context. Experience in budgeting and reporting and knowledge of donor regulations is also required for this position. Mush have good interpersonal and communication skills.
What you will do
The Finance Adviser- Budgeting and Reporting is responsible for leading financial reporting related to grants, funds, and budgets for all related programmes, donors, and departments. The position encompasses budgets preparations and follow up on changes and compliance to ensure consistency and constant updates.
In this position you will:
- Implement NRC’s financial systems, standard tools, routines and procedures including the implementation of the Fair Share Cost Allocation Model.
- Support the development of the Master Budget and ensure that the Master Budget is updated at all times, ensuring Master Budget coverage and gaps are monitored and analyzed regularly.
- Ensure accuracy and timely submission of donor financial reports, financial analysis reports, and other related financial reports as requested by the line manager.
- Ensure that all NRC Palestine budget holders, finance staff and senior managers receive complete and standard induction on NRC financial systems and tools.
- Deliver capacity building sessions for none finance staff with financial responsibilities (budget holders)
- Support field office finance staff issues related to budgets.
- Ensure adherence to NRC policies, handbooks, guidelines and donor requirements.

What you will bring
- Minimum 2 years of experience from working as senior or middle finance manager in a humanitarian/recovery context
- Experience of budgeting and reporting and knowledge of donor regulations
- Solid knowledge of computer software and modern accounting systems
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal. Arabic language knowledge is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of the context in the Middle East is an advantage.
What we offer:
- Duty station: Jerusalem. Due access challenges duty station might temporarily from Amman.
- Contract: 12 months (Renewal is subject to performance and funds availability)
- Travel: Minimum of 25% of the time to NRC operational areas
- Salary/benefits: grade 8 on NRC’s salary scale, with accompanying terms and conditions
