Band: 5The key responsibility of this role is the ownership of Shore excursions and Medical areas of Ancillaries from an end-to-end perspective. This role plays an integral part in the management of Cruise Shorex & Medical through regular reforecast cycles, challenging the business to improve performance whilst also highlighting any risk or opportunity to financial forecasts in a timely manner.ABOUT THE JOB
- You will support the Cruise Finance Manager, in discussions with the business, to develop future initiatives enabling optimal decision making to drive profit improvement. Furthermore, support the Cruise Finance Manager in preparing adhoc business cases, supplier tenders and contractual changes.
- You will produce the monthly ancillaries’ review pack to be presented back to the Commercial Managers and Cruise MD. Also raising performance issues and challenge the team on performance improvements.
- You will coordinate and lead the ship target setting process ensuring correct sign off and that targets are sufficiently stretching to drive the right behaviour.
- You will support the Finance Manager in producing a 3-year strategic plan and a robust annual budget, with detailed analysis and commentary on all movements. You will understand cost base movements to support the pricing of future seasons.
- You will identify and drive improvements to MI reporting, ensuring the Commercial team has the best tools for informed decision making.
- You will ensure the integrity of the associated P&Ls including providing performance reporting, month end management and variance analysis.
- As an analyst you will ensure all associated Balance Sheets are reconciled and balances justified, with timely quantification of any risk or opportunity.
- You will drive continuous improvement and support adhoc project work.
- You will be responsible for the Medical Month End, managing the P&L line, creating monthly accruals, reconciling the balance sheet, and managing the cashflow forecast.
- You will be responsible for ensuring the monthly Medical Claims report is kept accurate and up to date, creating monthly provisions.
- You will code invoices and complete quarterly true up reconciliations.
- You will be responsible for preparing a performance slide and present this at monthly supplier meetings.

- Part qualified or finalist accountant
