The Finance and Administration Associate (FAA) ensures efficient financial, administrative, and operational support for GGGI’s Papua New Guinea Program, including the flagship Climate FIRST initiative. This role involves managing financial processes, procurement, logistics, and administrative tasks while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements. The FAA contributes to seamless program delivery by maintaining accurate records, coordinating travel and events, and supporting reporting and audits, enabling impactful green growth initiatives.

Engagement:

  • Work under the direct supervision of the Senior Program Operations Officer (SPOO) to support financial, administrative, and operational activities.
  • Collaborate with the Deputy Country Representative (DCR), Country Representative (CR), and Project Managers (PMs) to assist in the smooth implementation of program operations.
  • Liaise with GGGI’s Regional Finance and Operations Team to ensure compliance with financial, procurement, and operational policies.
  • Coordinate with GGGI HQ teams, including Finance, Procurement, and Human Resources, for approvals and administrative processes.
  • Engage with government counterparts, including CCDA, DNPM, DPLGA, and provincial governments, to support operational and administrative requirements.
  • Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to manage procurement, contracts, and payment processing.
  • Support the logistical coordination of meetings, workshops, training sessions, and field missions, ensuring smooth execution.
  • Assist in communication with development partners, including DFAT and other donor agencies, regarding operational and financial matters.
  • Facilitate engagement with banks, travel agencies, and external service providers to process financial transactions, travel arrangements, and logistics.

Requirements  Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in financial administration, procurement, logistics, or office management, preferably in an international organization, government agency, or donor-funded program.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations, procurement policies, and administrative procedures in PNG is an advantage.
  • Experience working with international organizations, NGOs, or development agencies is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and financial management systems.
  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Tok Pisin is an advantage.
