For future large construction projects at BESIX we are looking for an experienced Finance and Administration Manager. This could be for projects in Europe or other international projects all around the world.
General – Processes
Ensure that all financial and administrative transactions are conducted within the legal and contractual framework, that all internal and external reports are timely and correctly issued, ensure integrity of cash, receivables and payable management; import & export of equipment; taxes; and safeguard stock management;
Update the relevant business processes when required;
Develop and implement tools and templates for the monitoring and follow-up of the economic, finance and administrative matters;
Comply with all local financial & administrative regulations;
Follow and implement Group guidelines and policies where and when required.
Economic
Monitor the cost control for the ongoing project and local Branch;
Capture & report risks & opportunities;
Develop and implement new reporting tools and templates;
Redesign the budgeting process with the changing phases of the project to accurately and timely identify the key business drivers;
Analyze the performance of the business against the annual budget and long-term business plan;
Closely interact with the Project Director.
Finance & Taxes
Implement processes to give business managers the necessary financial data to make decisions and monitor performance;
Follow and manage the inter-company invoicing & reporting and monitor JV partners accounts;
Enforce financial discipline & cost controls within the project;
Manage statutory accounts and reconciliations to reflect the economic reporting;
Develop, maintain, and where necessary, improve financial systems to facilitate management decision-making;
Review tax schemes (incl. Transfer Pricing) for the local Branch and Joint-Venture.
Treasury and cash
Monitor & optimize the multi-currency treasury activities;
Follow up the cash variances and flows during the project;
Develop & fortify cash flow forecast during the project;
Handle all bank guarantees.
HR – Administration
Monitor the administrative management of the expat staff (payroll, visa’s etc…);
Support the timekeeping process and recharges;
Comply with local taxes for expats;
Be the contact person for all HR related matters;
Perform people management of your local team;
Monitor import and export of equipment;
Keep track of all insurances, procurement and logistics;
Ensure a qualitative document control of all financial & administrative topics;
Maintain relationships with local banks, authorities, customers and other specific partners.
Qualifications
You have a Master degree in an economical or financial field;
You have relevant work experience in the field of cost (project) control, accounting or financial audit;
Experience in a project based environment is strong asset;
Experience in the construction industry is an asset. Interest in the construction industry is a must;
You are fluent in English & French. Any other language is an asset;
You are flexible, interested and open to work in a multi-cultural work environment. You understand and cope with cultural differences and different working methodologies between countries and continents.
