Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Finance Assistant position for the Office of Development at Oregon State University (OSU).
This position will provide assistance for different areas in the Finance Department, mainly Gift Administration, at the OSU Foundation. 
This is a part-time position working up to 24 hours per week with the option to work additional hours during OSU’s term breaks and during summer break. 
The OSU Foundation’s address is 4238 Research Way, Corvallis, OR 97333. 
Position Duties
  • Data entry, mailing daily receipts, updating signer sheet database, copying and filing, scanning documents, file room organizing, inventory, and other duties as assigned.

  • Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
  • Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
  • Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
    • High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
    • Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
    • Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
    • Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
    • Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*

*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered “full-time” by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.

Additional Required Qualifications
  • A qualified candidate must be a currently enrolled undergraduate student at Oregon State University and ability to work at least 10 hours per week during the school term.

  • Excellent Communication skills – oral and written 
  • Outstanding Time Management – ability to balance schoolwork & maintain a work schedule 
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office - Excel and word 
  • Strong Attention to detail 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks 
  • Ability to work Independently and be a self-starter
