Danish Refugee Council, one of the world’s leading humanitarian NGOs.
DRC has been operating in Ukraine since 2014, currently DRC employs over 650 staff in Ukraine and will continue significant scale-up in 2024 to implement emergency response in the Protection, Livelihoods, Shelter/NFIs and Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding (humanitarian mine action) sectors, using direct interventions, support to duty bearers and civil society organizations (CSOs), and partnerships with CSOs. DRC will continue and adapt its durable solutions portfolio to the evolving context.
DRC is currently looking for an experienced Finance Assistant in Sloviansk.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Create Expenses in Dynamics ERP system, create Dynamics Journals, book cash transaction or other needed batches to Dynamics.
- Ensure that advances and deposits are issued based on relevant approval and is settled according to DRC procedures.
- Ensure that the cost description in the vouchers, cashbook, journals and that the quality of overall meets the DRC internal guidelines.
- Ensure proper filing system for financial documents.
- Ensure that scanned vouchers are sent to archive regularly.
- Prepare payments made in cash, by check or via bank transfers in the existing DRC forms.
- Provide proper Cash Book supportive documentation, ensure to finalize the soft and hard version of supportive documents in the Cash Book.
- Ensure that DRC internal and donor specific procurement guidelines and procedures pertaining to conflict of interest and the international code of conduct are followed, enforced and met.
- Ensure that all documentation is prepared in a transparent and accountable manner.
- Ensure proper filing system for financial documents.
- Provide the scanned vouchers and store on server on a daily basis. Attach scans to Dynamics batches.
- Other administrative and logistics tasks as requested by management.
- Understand, and ensure the observance of the DRC Code of Conduct.

About you
Required:
- Fluency in Ukrainian or Russian.
- Secondary or higher education.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in finance or equivalent.
- MS Excel and Word skills, experience with ERP systems is desirable
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail, communicability, financial literacy
- Experience working in an NGO will be an advantage
- Commitment to learning and implementing organizational policies and procedures.

- Contract: Open-ended contract upon successful completion of the three-month probation period.
