Responsibilities
1. Responsible for entering payments, receipts and non-cash vouchers in the organization accounting system (PRISM FI) in line with assigned PRISM FI role.
2. Ensure that all accounting documents are maintained and kept in a proper manner.
3. Verify invoices and documents submitted by suppliers, staff members before it entered into the system.
4. Ensure that coding i.e. WBS and GL of accounting documentation is applied in line with the organization’s applicable rules and regulation.
5. Assist in development and implementation of new financial procedures.
6. Enable to handle mission’s petty cash when needed.
7. Perform the e-filling and filing for all posted vouchers with supporting documents or any document(s) related to finance in a proper manner, in line with department filing system regularly.
8. Assist in preparing mission fund requests for IOM mission.
9. Provide assistance in submitting accurate and timely monthly closure accounts.
10. Provide assistance in preparing essential bank letters and instructions related to mission, while ensuring up-to-date record-keeping.”
11.Assist in verifying vendor claims for accuracy and conformance with IOM finance policies and instructions.
12.Provide assistance to all staff services such as travel, expense claims, document retrieval, etc.;
13.Extract reports related to TSY tasks such as reports of daily POS, UWALLET transactions and vendors reports.
14. Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education
- Completed high School diploma with five years of relevant experience.
- or Completed Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finances, or related fields with three years of relevant professional experience.
Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.
Experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-mail, Outlook; previous experience in SAP is a distinct advantage.
- Attention to detail, ability to organize paperwork in a methodical way.
- Discreet, details and clients-oriented, patient and willingness to learn new things; and prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage
Skills
- Ability to prepare clear and concise reports and to analyses and interpret source information and data.
• Knowledge of publicly recognized accounting systems (SAP, ATLAS, Oracle, etc.),
software and procedures are a distinct advantage.
- High level of computer literacy is required computerized accounting systems. Good knowledge of MS office, specifically EXCEL.
Languages
- English.
- Arabic.
