  1. Enter the mission’s financial transactions into the IOM accounting system PRISM in an accurate and timely manner and in line with financial regulations.
  2. Responsible to post the payments, receipts, HR, and non-cash vouchers in the IOM accounting system (SAP) in line with assigned PRISM FI accounting role.
  3. Maintain the online payment system (OIPA) and perform AP Accounting role and follow up with others for any pending requests.
  4. Ensure that all accounting postings are applied in line within IOM financial rules and regulation and ensure to use correct WBS and accounting GL.
  5. Provide financial and administrative support to IOM Jordan and performs the procedures of monthly closures, vendors maintenance and GL clearing.
  6. In coordination with Sr. Finance assistant, assist in preparing the monthly bank reconciliations.
  7. Assist Sr. Finance to perform and monitor monthly amortization tool and clearing mission’s cost center.
  8. Assisting Sr. Finance to Review, Validate and confirm financial documents to be correctly submitted and comply within IOM (FMRP) policies and procedures.
  9. Responsible to Perform the E-Filing for all posted vouchers with supporting documents or any document(s) and in line with department filing system regularly.
  10. In Coordination with Sr. Finance, review received TRs and TEC and perform accounting role.
  11. Provide proper training and guidance to new/junior finance assistants in the unit.
  12. Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications

Education

  • University degree, in Accounting or Business Administration with minimum Three years of Finance, Accounting working experience.
  • Diploma in Accounting or Business Administration with minimum Five years of finance/accounting working experience.

Experience

• Good knowledge of, and experience in Finance, Accounting posting, and administration, preferable in Travel process.

• Knowledge of ERP system and accounting systems preferable (SAP enterprise).

• Ability to prepare clear and concise reports and to analyses and interpret source information and data.

Skills

• Good knowledge of MS office, specifically in EXCEL

• Good communication skills, personal commitment, efficiency, flexibility, drive for results, respect for diversity and creative thinking.

• Ability to lead, coach and work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds.

Languages

  • Fluency in English and Arabic oral & written is required.
  • Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.
