Al-Tahreer Association for Development (TAD)
Al-Tahreer Association for Development (TAD) is a non –governmental organization that aims at spreading the tenets of democracy, peace, and human rights with a focus on Preventing Violent Extremism (PVE). TAD has been working in Iraq ever since 2003, starting its efforts in Nineveh and expanding to the remaining Iraqi governorates. The association has conducted many training programs, provided counseling, and implemented projects that support the building of democracy and civil society and promoting a culture of peace, and maintaining the relationship between individuals and diverse communities of Iraq.
Al-Tahreer Association for Development “TAD” NGO is currently implementing projects and it is seeking to appoint a Finance Assistant in Baghdad assigned with the below duties:
Duties and responsibilities:
– Check bills and invoices before payment to ensure documents are accurately completed and approved with clear and specific charging notes; and ensure whether or not the TAD’s policies.
– Prepare Payment Vouchers: Bank payment vouchers, Bank – Receive vouchers, Cash Payment vouchers, Cash Receive vouchers, and Adjustment entries vouchers-GL and exchange funds to other currencies.
– Provide cash advances to program and Support staff and Monitoring & Updating Advance Truckers also tracking advances.
– Ensure compliance of all payments with TAD and donors’ procedures.
– Responsible for Scanning and Archiving all Documents promptly and according to the TAD’s mechanism (requested by Supervisor).
– Participating in physical verification of field activities of partners.
– Assist Finance officer in Checking expenditure reports and Vouchers.
– Assist Finance officer with Audit preparations and visits.
– Supporting Program staff for Distribution Cash.
– Any other related tasks as requested by the Line Manager.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
Educational & Qualifications Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
– One years of relevant experience preferably with NGOs.
– Good command of English language.
– Knowledge of Microsoft Office and similar applications.
– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
– Pro-active and helpful attitude, ready to take on a variety of new tasks.
– Ability to multi-task
