The position requires technical and managerial expertise to support the design, planning, development and implement financial management, and bookkeeping and keep financial records correctly. The finance assistant is expected to monitor and report the financial status of the project in line with the capacity building mandate by the Red Cross Movement.
Finance and Accounting – Monthly Financial Reporting
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly financial statements
- Check, prepare and submit bi-weekly liquidation for project expenses, ensuring the documentation is complete
- Reconciling bank statements and accounts
- Assisting with budget preparation and monitoring of funds
- Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
- Collaborating with other staff and officers concerned to ensure financial compliance and prompt accomplishment of reimbursable field expenses
- Providing support for audits and financial reviews
- Provide assistance to neighboring AA chapters in the event of EAP activation
Administrative Works
- Process and follow up payments for rentals and other related matters
- Receives and forward documentation to GRC office as needed
- Assist the team in procurement process and preparation comparative bid analysis
- Ensure that all equipment used by himself/herself, or under his/her control, is properly used, maintained, and secured
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Candidate must be a graduate of any 4-year course (Bachelor’s Degree), preferably in Business Management, Accounting or other related field
- Has at least one year of practical work experience in Accounting and Finance
- Experience with the Philippine Red Cross as a staff member or volunteer will be an advantage
