Overview of position:
The Finance Assistant supports the company’s financial operations by carrying out routine financial activities such as records keeping, statutory remittances & data analysis.
Role objectives:
Provides assistance to the finance team in ensuring that compliance requirements are met within specified timeframes.
Prepares schedules for statutory remittances such as PAYE, WHT, NHF, ITF, NSITF, NHIS & pension remittances.
Follows up with Pension Fund Administrators after monthly remittances & track any arising issues.
Follows up on tax clearance certificates & annual returns.
Files financial documents & reports.
Performs data entry & analysis.
Ensures an understanding of CTG’s payroll & invoicing timelines.
Carries out tracking & management of staff timesheets.
Provides monthly pay slips to consultants.
Follow up on DCEV, petty cash advances & reconciliations / payment vouchers remittances.
Supports the annual audit process.
Performs any other duties which may be assigned by the Regional Accountant.
Project reporting:
The Finance Assistant reports to the Regional Accountant.
Key competencies:
Education in a relevant discipline.
Experience relevant to the role.
Fluent in English.
Team management:
This role has no team management responsibility.
