Finance Associate

Department of Neurosurgery is seeking a Finance Associate who will be a key member of the finance team and will be responsible for providing finance-related and accounting support for the Department and its faculty. This exciting opportunity will require excellent judgement, communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to take initiative and follow through.  The successful candidate is independently motivated, and contribute to a positive and productive work culture. The candidate must also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills that allow for interactions with a diverse academic and medical community.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):

High School diploma or equivalent and two years’ work experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):

• Knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
• Ability to operate computerized office applications and accounting systems.
• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate information to internal audiences and client groups

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:

• Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
• Frequently sit, sort, file paperwork or parts, grasp lightly, and use fine manipulation, lift, carry, push and pull objects that weigh 10 pounds or less.
• Occasionally write by hand, twist, bend, stoop and squat.
• Rarely stand, walk, reach or work above shoulders and use a telephone.

The expected pay range for this position is $25.48 to $33.17 per hour.
