Job description

The position of Finance Business Partner assists in the achievement of strategy, the efficient use of Ministry Resources, providing insight into current and future performance, and supporting the decision-making process through partnership with ministry departments. The position reports to the Head of Finance.
This position is available as a fixed-term contract of up to two years.
Key Accountabilities
- Management of Annual Budget process for departments within Compassion
- Develop strong and effective relationships with people managers, providing consultation on a range of complex finance matters
- Management of Quarterly Forecast process for departments within Compassion
- Development of campaign finance framework, reporting, ROI, and benefit analysis
Selection Criteria
(Job Specific Skills, Knowledge, Experience, and Qualifications)
Essential
- Professional accounting qualifications (Certified Public Accountant/Chartered Accountant/Chartered Institute of Management Accountant)
- 3+ years experience in an Accounting, Finance, or Analytical Support role
- Experience managing budgets and forecasts
- Strong analytical and financial reporting skills
- Strong communication skills
- Advisory, negotiation, consultation, and influencing skills
- Strong Excel skills
- People management experience
Desirable
- Strong knowledge and experience in using business intelligence tools (such as PowerBI and Tableau)
- Strong knowledge and experience in using Dynamics GP
- Experience within the not-for-profit industry
