Join our team on a Fixed Time Contract for initially 6 months (potential to extend to 9 months) as a Finance Change Analyst – Adaptive Planning.As Finance Change Analyst – Adaptive Planning, you’ll dive into various analytical tasks, like process and stakeholder mapping. Working closely with the Finance Change Lead, you’ll design, test, and implement technical system changes for our adaptive planning project. Training and supporting end-users on Adaptive Planning will be part of your daily routine so building reporting requirements and fostering strong relationships across all levels are key parts of this job.Working flexibly, you’ll spend most of your time working from home, with a day a week in the office (living a commutable distance from Haywards Heath, West Sussex is a must for this role!). But of course, it’s your choice – if you prefer to be in the office more – that’s good with us too.What you’ll need to succeed in this role:
- Accounting and finance experience in an accounting/ FPA (Financial planning and analysis) function, maybe as a finance system administrator and / or finance change role working in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), General Ledger, or P2P (Procure to Pay) systems – if you’ve got experience in systems such as Workday Financials or adaptive planning – even better!
- Organised and attention to detail: you maintain order, we’re talking color-coded spreadsheets, meticulous record-keeping, and precise reporting – tick!
- Communication and relationships: you’re a people person, effortlessly building relationships and connecting with stakeholders to deliver training and give others the knowledge needed for success!
What’s involved:
- Effectively execute a wide range of analytical tools and techniques, including process mapping and Stakeholder Mapping
- Support testing processes and ensure adherence to future working processes.
- Produce clear and effective requirements documentation, presenting information in an intelligent and clear way to communicate requirements, business solution options and recommendations to different stakeholder audiences.
- Design, test and implement technical system changes to deliver adaptive planning project.
- Provide training and support to end-users on the use of Adaptive planning and processes.
- Build reporting requirements in line with project scope.
- Build effective working relationships and influence across all levels, fostering an open and collaborative culture.
- Engage in team based continuous improvement activity and implement where applicable.
- Ensure key system control and integrity are maintained and protected through any change requests.
- Support on finance system updates and maintenance development work across all finance systems.
- Ensure compliance with Company Policies, Values and guidelines and other relevant standards/ regulations at all times.
Experience, skills and knowledge
- Experience in an accounting/FPA function with AAT qualification or by experience
- Experience as a finance system administrator and / or finance change role.
- Experience with ERP, General Ledger, or P2P systems.
- Experience of financial systems (Workday Financials/adaptive planning – desirable)
- Experience of system implementations and post go-live support models.
- Understanding of Finance processes and terminology
- Proficient in Microsoft applications, especially Excel
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and organization skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong analytical skills and ability to drive process improvement, based upon analysis of data.
- Work effectively under pressure and think clearly and logically in challenging situations.
