JOB SUMMARY

The Finance and Compliance Coordinator is responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role involves coordinating financial activities, preparing reports, and implementing compliance measures within the organization.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure accurate entry in the automated accounting software system,
  • Keep record of transactions and preparation of all kinds of voucher entries in Quickbooks on a regular basis.
  • Maintain cash book register, bank book register, asset register, collection register and payment register.
  • Review payments requests with supporting documentation and request payment issuing.
  • Maintain vendors’ payable statements and calculate VAT & TAX.
  • Review record transactions in a timely manner.
  • Review monthly bank reconciliation statements.
  • Review payroll statements and calculate Income Tax & SI.
  • Prepare reports on Audit findings.
  • Checking & Verification of bills, vouchers and other supporting documents.
  • Inventory Audit and supervision from time to time to store-in-charge.
  • To perform any other assignment as by the concerned authority from time to time.
  • Keep good liaison with Banks, partners and other financial institutions MedGlobal deals with.
  • Keep good communication with other in-country departments and ensure that various project payments are given highest priority.
  • Good and clear understanding of MedGlobal financial rules and procedures and update this knowledge.
  • Provide financial support to implement the project activities.
  • Help new staff to open salary accounts and other related jobs.
  • Attend meetings as directed by the Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience at banks or MNCs or INGOs/NGOs or large business houses.
  • Experience in training facilitation and strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate clearly and effectively at all levels.
  • An individual with frequent traveling experience is necessary.
  • Experience in working in an NGO providing health care services will have additional value.
  • Demonstrated experience of working closely with financial/accounting departments of the government, Health Sector and experience of working with a large complex multi-partner team.
  • Understanding of accounting principles of NGO and public sector and national health system issues is an advantage.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English and effective communication skills.
  • Effective presentation of relevant information oral & written.
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office packages and Google suite.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
  • Certification and education/training on accounting, accounting software, cost accounting, financial management, will be additional value.
