WRI Indonesia is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized individual to join our Finance Team as a Finance Coordinator. This position will play a pivotal role in supporting the Finance Manager in overseeing and managing the financial management of WRI Indonesia. Finance Coordinator is expected to manage routine processes to ensure the smooth functioning of the Finance Team with a high level of engagement and attention to detail.

Reporting to Finance Manager, the Finance Coordinator will also work closely and collaboratively with the Grants and Contract Coordinator and Project Coordinators, and regularly work with the Global Office Finance Team to ensure the financial health and stability of WRI Indonesia and to make informed decisions that contribute to its long-term success.

This position will be based in Jakarta with office-flex working arrangement.

What You Will Do:

Budget Management and Administration:

  • Prepare annual overall budgets as well as annual funder-specific budgets.
  • Monitor and manage project budget performance, scoping progress according to planned milestones, expenses and revenue, and planned budget vs actual spending.
  • Review and track monthly expenses and staff labor hours.
  • Update the grants list and pipeline list regularly.
  • Assist with timesheet management.
  • Assist with expense reports, invoicing, cash advances, and other transactions.
  • Comply with all internal WRI budgeting processes and contract process deadlines.

Cost and Pricing:

  • Work closely with the Office Managers to update the indirect cost report regularly.
  • Review all proposal budgets or amendments to ensure accuracy in WRI Indonesia’s financial presentation and maximize cost recovery.
  • Complete revenue reconciliation between Salesforce and Costpoint on an annual basis.
  • Ensure appropriate risk margins and fees are considered before proposal submission.
  • Support Accounting, Grants and Contracts, and Program teams in preparing project audit reports and responding to auditor requests as needed.

Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Updating the Financial Report Status and Management Report regularly.
  • Support the Finance Manager in forecasting and planning activities.
  • Assess the financial feasibility of new projects and conduct risk analysis.
  • Monitor Work at Risk (WAR) requests.
  • Identify and provide feedback and suggestions to management related to improvements to WRI Indonesia’s policies, procedures, processes, and financial systems, and related programs.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or other related field.
  • Minimum 3 (three) years of full-time work experience in accounting and/or financial management with strong interest in administration, operations, and budgeting.
  • Previous working experience in non-profit or development sector will be an advantage
  • Able to analyze and integrate potentially conflicting numerical, verbal, and other data from several sources.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as ERP systems, Power BI, and spreadsheet applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and adaptable to rapidly changing priorities supported with ability to manage multiple deadlines while deliver high-quality work product
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and ethical standards.
  • Ability and willingness to travel
  • Legally able to work in Indonesia
