Caritas Czech Republic (CCR) is a non-profit organization that operates abroad, in the context of humanitarian aid and development cooperation. It is a respected member of the international network, Caritas Internationalis, and Caritas Europa. Its foreign activities focus on the health and social sectors and on developing livelihood for the local population and education of children and adults.
To Support the Finance department, CCR is looking for (Finance Coordinator) under the supervision of (Country Director) to carry out the daily Finance tasks in the office.
Responsibilities
Accounting data:
- Entering all financial transactions into the Excel sheet to be shared with HQ for import into the system.
- Making sure that the data complies with physical documentation.
- Checking the financial report from partner organizations and their compliance with scanned documents provided by partners.
- Develop and maintain reports of the status of financial management activities (i.e. monthly and quarterly reporting).
- Review and submit monthly reconciliation reports.
- Monitor and submit advance, commitment, and grant reports as applicable.
- Coordinate inputs and required project reporting to local authorities, based on registration requirements. Reporting Tax Office (according to KRI/Iraqi laws).
- Ensure proper segregation of duties for payment processes.
- Manage banking relationships and coordinate periodic updates for checking account signers.
Payments and Physical documentation:
- Responsible for managing the cash boxes of USD and IQD and ensuring that the cash counting is done systematically.
- Expense disbursement to Hawala, Field offices, and Main Office.
- Conduction of all the financial transactions through the bank.
- Archiving original documents.
- Scan all documents and upload them on SharePoint each month, along with the data imports.
Other responsibilities
- In cooperation with HQ and Partner with any financial issues.
- Preparing and updating spending plans for office operation costs.
- Preparing the monthly payroll, and ensuring salary payment to national staff.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
- Relevant experience working with INGOs for at least 3 years.
- University graduate, ideally in management, finance, public relations, sustainable development, or another relevant field.
- Excellent English and Arabic both written and spoken; Kurdish is highly desired.
- Advanced Excel user.
- Good organizational skills and ability to analyze information.
- Motivation, creativity, and ability to work independently.
