Main Purpose
We’re looking for a Finance Manager to join our team in Belgium. As manager of the local finance team, you will play a pivotal role in leading the local finance functions and supporting the operations throughout the region.
Main Responsibilities
- Take ultimate responsibility for the financial accounts including P&L and Balance Sheet: Prepare and review the monthly accounts, supervise the accounting operations and provide support to ASSC team, collaborate closely with FP&A team on performance analysis;
- Take ultimate accountability for the cash collection, work closely with ASSC team and local PM/Sales Team to ensure reasonable DSO and healthy AR Ageing Balance;
- Play a key role in the collaboration between local team and ASSC, strengthen the communication to ensure timely and accurate financial operations;
- Manage all tax filings and declarations;
- Lead the annual audit in Belgium, and support group audit;
- Manage the local finance team, upholding Acolad cultural values and promoting an environment of support, development, and leadership;
- Identify opportunities for growth, improvement and efficiencies in the finance discipline;
- Continually review systems, processes, and reporting. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to suggest ways to minimize loss, enhance controls, and improve profitability;
- Maintain, review and monitor internal controls and ensure the implementation of Gorup’s policies and procedures;
- Provide relevant financial insight and support to the local leadership team and participate in key meetings;
- Participate actively in Group’s projects and ad hoc assignments.
Requirements
Educational Background
- Master’s degree in Finance.
Professional Experience
- Over 5 years of proven experience in Finance:
- Ideally started in an audit firm;
- Followed by a role in financial control within an international group.
Skills and Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of local tax requisites;
- Solid understanding of audit processes;
- Autonomous and proactive, with a strong team-player mindset;
- Excellent ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload;
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills;
- Good accounting knowledge;
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel;
- Good command of PowerPoint;
- Good knowledge of SAP.
Languages
- Fluent in English.
