Outstanding opportunity has arisen in Sheffield for a Finance Manager, working for a specialist Sheffield-based SME Manufacturer. This business has been supporting key UK industries for over 30 years, manufacturing and engineering bespoke products. Following new business plans, the role of Finance Manager has been newly created and will report directly into the Managing Director.The ideal candidate will be hands-on with company finances and have a developing level of commercial awareness. The key aim of the role is to own and manage the accounting function of the business, and to support the Managing Director in establishing a robust and transparent finance function with a clear focus on strategic value-add elements.Duties will include:

• Ownership of full month-end processes including the full production of management accounts, revenue analysis, variance analysis and commentary
• Completion of balance sheet reconciliations
• Develop internal controls and processes as needed across the organisation
• Production of a 13-week cash-flow forecast
• Ownership of cash-flow management to cover forecasting, supplier payments and credit control
• Leading stock take and stock-reconciliation processes
• Responsibility for the preparation and submission of VAT returns
• Provide support to the divisional management teams and support the development of the wider finance and admin teams when needed
• Support the Financial Controller during ad-hoc project work

Person Specification;

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified (required)
• Previous manufacturing experience (desirable)
