TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR HIRING FINANCE MANAGER
PROJECT´S GENERAL INFORMATION
Location: Bogotá, Colombia
Starting Month: August 2024
PROGRAM OVERVIEW:
With GOAL Ireland’s decision to increase operations in the United States through GOAL USA, it requires increasing its financial management capacity for the projects that are assigned to GOAL USA and coordinating financial management with the technical and financial teams by GOL Ireland.
OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:
The Finance Manager contributes with the financial management of the Programs and the Company, assists the team in The United States and Ireland in the business development activities, assists internal and external auditors to conduct their reviews, coordinates the monthly closing, process payroll, and produces finance and management reports among other responsibilities.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ROLES
Assist GOAL USA, Inc team with the financial management of the programs by:
- Facilitating meetings to discuss financial management.
- Updating the budget trackers of the Company and programs.
- Booking intercompany transactions and coordinating the monthly close.
- Managing the cash flow statement and providing feedback on transactions.
- Facilitating the booking of the transactions coming from counterparts.
- Producing reports as requested.
- Performing other relevant tasks as might be assigned by GOAL US Team
- Working closely with and providing relevant financial information to other GOAL staff as and when required.
Assists GOAL USA, Inc and GOAL Global’s teams in fundraising and business development activities by:
- Developing budgets for potential programs
- Coordinating with the international financial controllers and accountants of the company to calculate pricing and design the financial management of the programs
- Coordinating with the development team the development of budgets to meet donors’ expectations
- Developing budget narratives and coordinating with the technical team that the description of the programs meets donors’ expectations
Assist GOAL USA Inc’s team by:
- Developing and documenting process and procedures for the financial management of the Company
- Producing financial and management reports as requested by the team
- Assisting external and internal auditors in their activities
- Monitoring the cash flow management and keeping the tracking of vendor invoices
- Coordinating the process and booking of the monthly payroll.
- Booking employee’s expenses
- Reviewing bank reconciliations and post pending transactions.
- Assisting the operations manager with tasks related to finances/accounting.
MINIMUM REQUIRED PROFILE
Professional Studies:
- Graduate from the Faculty of Public Accounting or similar courses.
Professional experience:
- 3+ years of experience working in accounting and finance management.
- Experience working with international organizations.
- Open to work with several time zones and different cultures and backgrounds.
Knowledge/skills:
- Advanced Excel
- Advanced level of English (spoken and written is required)
- Experience working with ERPs. Sage products are a plus.
- Management of Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
- Experience working with SharePoint
Competences:
- Ability to work in a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Flexibility and skill in working with others at all levels.
- Skill working with international teams.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- This is a local position for nationals only
RESOURCES
- For the development of activities GOAL will provide a computer and the necessary equipment for the position.
- The employee will work remotely from Colombia.
