Position: Finance Officer
Location: Kirkuk

Duration: 2 months with the possibility of extension

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the financial activities of the project, ensuring compliance with the donor’s financial regulations.
  2. Prepare, monitor, and update the project budget, ensuring accurate financial forecasting and reporting.
  3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions, including payroll, grants, and procurement expenses.
  4. Prepare monthly financial reports, including cash flow statements, expenditure reports, and budget variance analysis.
  5. Ensure timely processing of payments for goods and services and manage petty cash disbursements.
  6. Coordinate financial audits and support the preparation of audit materials.
  7. Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure financial transparency and accountability.
  8. Ensure that all financial activities comply with KOHRW’s financial policies and procedures.
  9. Support in the preparation of donor reports and respond to any donor queries regarding the project’s financial management.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience in financial management, preferably within an NGO or international organization.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software and financial management systems.
  • Proven experience in preparing financial reports, managing budgets, and working with donor funding.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in English, Arabic, and Kurdish.
