The Finance Officer is part of the projects support team and part of the financial staff lead by NPA Iraq Finance Manager. The position requires:
Good knowledge on accounting and finance matters
Excellent cooperating ability, both with national and international personnel
Good written and spoken English, Arabic
Familiarity with commonly used computerized accounting software
Communicative, mature and responsible
General Responsibilities:
The Finance Officer works under the supervision of the Deputy/Finance Manager and Programme Manager in the implementation of the financial and accounting procedures for NPA Iraq MAD Programme. (But not limited to).
Responsibilities:
Responsible to receiving documents from other departments and checking then handover to FA for cash and to FO for bank except monthly agreed cost
Responsible to post bank payment vouchers after voucher signed by FM for Hawala, Zain wallet, Zain bill, air ticket & taxi.
Responsible to make the correcting post if any for the own posting entry after receive the correction from DFM and/or FM
Responsible to arrange Baghdad vouchers daily and handover to FM for his authorization of booking to Agresso Unit 4
Responsible to collect the cash flow from each department in Baghdad
Responsible to review the payrolls for all locations
Responsible to post Severance calculation and staff medical insurance for all staff
Responsible to check the A3 soft copy of SS, social security and tax payment via Baghdad HR and make payment and, post them
Responsible to be as focal person for the bank, Hawala and Zain wallet as focal person for all bank related activities except bank posting done by FO
Responsible to facilitate the fund transfer via bank/Hawala/Zain wallet to project office and reconcile with statement monthly
Responsible to facilitate the project office payments via bank/Hawala/Zain wallet after checking the documents
Responsible to post the staff travel cost via interim and arrange the voucher with supporting documents
Responsible to prepare and post the regular payments such as Zain mobile bill including security deposit, air ticket, taxi payment and post them
Responsible to check the South & North vouchers in the SP as soon as its uploaded and follow-up with SFO in Basra and FO in Mosul to bring the vouchers to Baghdad for physical archive.
Support DFM/ FM to arrange the samples for all kind of Audits
Any other task assigned by supervisor

Familiarity with commonly used computerized accounting software
Good interpersonal skills
Good communication and understanding skills
Able to work effectively under, & adapt to, difficult conditions
3 – 5 years’ experience in this field
Other Qualifications:
Related experience with the mine action sector
Written & verbal proficiency in English and Arabic.
Willingness & ability to travel within inside & outside the country
