Background: Al Ethar is a non-profit and non-governmental foundation, registered in Iraq with the No. (IZ780098), and has been working in Iraq since 2005. Al Ethar operates in Iraq through eight basic offices, the implemented projects vary to include but not limited to: education, protection and response to survivors of GBV, projects to support young people and build capabilities to generate outcomes that create a sustainable and enabling environment for youth to achieve their potential
Finance officer Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the preparation of budgets
- Managing records and receipts
- Reconciling daily, monthly and yearly transactions
- Preparing balance sheets
- Processing invoices
- Developing an in-depth knowledge of organizational products and process
- Resolve financial disputes raised by the customer service and sales teams
- Being a key point of contact for other departments on financial and accounting matters
- Supporting the Finance Manager and executives with projects and tasks when required
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
Competencies:
- Business Administration degree or equivalent and Human Resources, with a minimum of 3 years is essential..
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and Arabic.
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Build and maintain good relations with local counterparts.
- Have a hardworking and flexible approach.
- Be good at working in a team.
- Be patient and understanding.
- Fast learner.
- Excellent organisational skills.
