Finance Operations Coordinator

The post sits within the Finance Operations Team which is part of Financial Accounting within the Directorate of Finance.  The role will include a wide variety of tasks, but the principal duties will focus on supporting and maintaining the University’s statutory compliance activities, ensuring internal procedures are implemented successfully, and assisting in the preparation of statutory returns to external bodies such as HMRC.  The role will also be responsible for various reconciliations and will provide support to the wider team on a variety of tasks.

To apply for this post, you should have a good standard of general education, excellent communication skills, excellent IT skills particularly Excel and other Microsoft packages, and be a motivated and enthusiastic individual.  Prior experience of working in a finance environment is essential and prior experience of similar compliance matters would be advantageous.

Whilst the University is currently trialling a hybrid working from home scheme, the post will be located within the Directorate of Finance based at the Old Aberdeen campus and the successful candidate will be required to attend the office for a minimum of 2 days per week.  The number of office attendance days may increase at the end of the trial.

Salary will be at the appropriate point of Grade 4, £24,285 – £27,929 per annum  with placement according to qualifications and experience.
