Join us as the Senior Manager of Accounting

As a key member of our Finance team, you’ll play a pivotal role
in the timely and accurate management of financial processes,
accounting, audits, and reporting. Your responsibilities will
encompass a range of critical functions, from benefits
administration to bank account reconciliations and tax returns.

What You’ll Do:

The following statements are intended to describe the general
nature and level of work being performed. They are not intended to
be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties
and skills required of personnel so classified. 

 

  • Oversee financial processes, including 401k audits, financial
    statement audits, and property tax filings, to ensure accuracy and
    compliance.

Collaborate closely with our Talent Management team to manage
benefits administration, open enrollment, and COBRA, ensuring our
employees receive the support they need.

  • Process general ledger entries for employer-paid benefits and
    bi-weekly payroll
  • Prepare bi-weekly payroll and reconcile benefit and
    payroll-related general ledger accounts to maintain financial
    transparency and accuracy.
  • Ensure the timely reconciliation and submission of benefit
    invoices for payments.
  • Play a critical role in supporting auditors and tax preparers
    during benefit plan audits and related tax return filings, gaining
    valuable experience, and contributing to the success of our
    organization.

 

Key Accounting Functions:

  • Conduct monthly bank statement reconciliations
  • Track and resolve outstanding checks
  • Manage fixed assets and prepaids
  • Prepare real and personal property tax returns
  • Collaborate with JumpIN to manage financials
  • Play a key role in assisting in CBO financial evaluation as
    needed
  • Provide necessary support to auditors and tax preparers for
    financial audits and the 990-tax return
  • Ability to generate requested ad-hoc reports through accounting
    systems
  • Be ready to take on special assignments and other tasks on an
    as-needed basis, showcasing your adaptability and problem-solving
    skills
  • Offer crucial backup for payment and pledge processing through
    the CRM system
  • Invest in your professional growth through development and
    continuing education opportunities, both internally and
    externally
  • Utilize the CRM system for effective reporting and tracking of
    pledges and gifts

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or five years of relevant
    accounting experience.
  • Experience with Salesforce platform or CRM systems is
    preferred.
  • Five years of supervisory experience is desirable.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and attention to detail are
    essential.
  • Effective time management and multitasking abilities are
    required to meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are crucial for
    success.

 
Note: Work experience may be considered as a
substitute for educational requirements on a case-by-case
basis.
 
Supervisory
Responsibilities:

In addition to these qualifications, this role
also includes supervisory responsibilities. The selected candidate
will oversee the CRM Team, which consists of three team members
responsible for audit and pledge processing, donor designated
gifts, and accounts receivable.
