The objective/purpose of the position is to support the planning, implementation and monitoring of all administrative and accounting actions and responsibilities, mainly recording the organization’s accounting, calculation and issuance of payroll, presentation of declarations to SAT and IMSS, ensuring regulatory compliance. office accountant in Mexico

Main Responsibilities

Document Management, Accounting 

  • Keep the accounting and financial files (physical and electronic) of the offices updated.
  • Responsible for the filing and custody of documents generated physically and digitally.
  • Know and manage the accounting and financial tools that the NRC has implemented at a global and local level.
  • Support with the accounting closing of offices and the preparation of monthly reports when requested
  • Responsible for processing payments to suppliers and contractors of the offices according to the standards established for this purpose in NRC.
  • Provide monthly monitoring of electronic transfers of program participants, as well as periodic reconciliation of transfers.

 Tax Processes

  • Calculation, determination and presentation of taxes before the SAT in accordance with current regulations.
  • Preparation of deductible receipts and invoices.
  • Presentation of obligations for Authorized Donees

Payroll

  • Preparation of the payroll and  provisions calculation (Bonus, Vacation P.), according to the incidents reported by HR
  • Employee management before the IMSS:12. Calculation, determination and presentation of worker/employer quotas
  • Calculation, determination and presentation of salary taxes (IMSS/INFONAVIT/ISN)
  • Calculation of settlements and compensation in coordination with HR
  • Stamping of payroll receipts

Professional Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Accounting (title and ID)
  • 1 year experience in Authorized Donees
  • 2 years experience in calculation and presentation of returns before the SAT
  • 2 years experience in payroll calculation and related procedures
  • Experience in humanitarian aid context (desirable)
  • Previous experience in complex and volatile contexts
  • Basic/intermediate knowledge of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Solid knowledge in Accounting
  • Knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards
  • Experience in managing accounting and payroll systems (NOI/COI/CONPAQ)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office office utilities (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
