Our client located in Cheltenham, working within space and defense manufacturing are looking for a highly experienced Financial Accountant to join their team, to help support the finance team and wider business.

As a Financial Accountant your day to day duties will include:

• Calculating & Processing monthly payroll journals
• Reconciliation of accounts
• Produce and maintain month end balance sheet reconciliations
• Produce and submit monthly VAT returns
• Assist in external and internal audits for the business

For the Ideal Financial Accountant candidate you will have:

• Strong accounting skills with a good understanding of IAS and other technical matters
• Experience of working in a manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential
• An accountant qualification: ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
• Proven ability to problem solve independently as well as part of team
• Previous experience working directly with external auditors, customers, suppliers and goverment bodies
