We have 5 positions for immediate filling
The Public Trustee is establishing a pool for Financial Administration Officer for fixed term, full time vacancies available for 12 months, with the possibility of extension and/or permanency. The intention of this role is to prepare you for a future client facing role to case manage a portfolio of clients under financial administration orders and management of court trusts.
We are looking for caring people with a mature outlook and life-skills, strong in communication, problem solving and customer service, and the ability to work with clients with impaired capacity for financial management and decision making.
ABOUT THE ROLE
A Financial Administration Officer undertakes a compulsory in-house 12-week training program to develop knowledge in the Management Accounting and Trust Environment (MATE) computer system and in the policies and procedures associated with Trust Management administrations.
Training is both classroom based and on-the-job. A mentor will assist you with understanding the role of a Financial Administration Officer. You will receive training in opening client files in MATE, gathering financial information, processing of receipts and payments, reconciling statement of accounts, answering telephone enquiries, applying book-keeping skills and drafting correspondence are part of the overall training experience.
On completion of training Financial Administration Officers will have developed skills to case manage a portfolio in Trust client administration.
