Maintain working functional knowledge of business needs and practices of the University’s administrative processes. Interpret NYU’s Business Expense Policy to respective units. Train and troubleshoot with Directors/Managers/Staff on financial platforms. Review and approve Procurement, Student Information System, Total Contract Management System, Journal Entries, Budget Modifications, and Travel and Expense transactions, in addition to reviewing and approving Corporate Travel Accounts and Purchasing Card transactions. Perform financial analysis and run and maintain reports, e.g., quarterly, variance, headcount, Annual Merit Increase, and Travel and Expense reports for the Division of Student Affairs and Office of Global Services. Reports also include forecasting revenue and expenses, preparing an annual presentation to the central leadership, and loading budgets. May work on projects incorporating large university datasets for the Executive Director of Budget and Finance, the Director and Manager for Provost Fiscal Affairs.

Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Economics
Required Experience:
1+ years of related experience, including experience conducting financial analyses.
Preferred Experience:
2+ years of experience querying and processing large data sets.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong quantitative and analytical skills and demonstrated experience querying, processing, analyzing, and reporting on large data sets. Demonstrated ability to analyze and report on financial data. Functional knowledge and experience with data visualization software or other reporting tools to inform narratives and business decisions. Strong team player.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficient in Excel – Advanced

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $63,000.00 to USD $77,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
