Cedar is recruiting a Financial Analyst to join a respected, London-based council. The successful candidate will be responsible for bridging the gap between the finance and procurement team with a focus on integrating new processes and supporting with finance and systems related activities.Salary: £39,000 – £45,000Location: LondonHybrid Working Pattern: 1 day in the office per weekResponsibilities

• Deliver financial support to procurement team members by providing guidance on procurement processes across Sourcing, Contract Management (CM), Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and Procure 2 Pay (P2P).
• Liaise with stakeholders at varying levels on procurement, contract management and P2P processes.
• Collaborate with the finance team to deliver new processes to positively influence Sourcing, Contract Management (CM) and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and integrate information flows between procurement, P2P and contract management systems.
• Work with the finance and procurement teams to implement alternative ways of purchasing and paying for goods and services and keep up to date with technical advancements within this area.
• Participate in collaborative discussions on the development of procurement systems, technology and information management.
• Oversee service specific IT contracts.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Financial Analyst in a local authority in a similar role
• Experience developing and implementing business processes that positively impact sourcing or contract management operations.
• Proficiency with Procure 2 Pay (P2P systems) such as SAP and / or eProcurement systems.
• Experience implementing and utilising alternative payment mechanisms, such as catalogues and P-Cards.

Expected salary

£39000 – 45000 per year
