Financial Controller – Initially home-based, the client is looking for office space in Glasgow. The role will require hybrid working once they have secured a new office.Salary up to £65kLusona is working exclusively with one of our clients in the service sector to source suitable applicants for this exciting new role in their management team. This is a hands-on role and will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health of the company, working closely with the Managing Director and other departments.This is a fantastic opportunity for:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years experience in an SME.
• A financially savvy individual with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach.
• Excellent communicator who can translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights for business decisions.
• Team player who can build strong relationships and collaborate effectively across departments.

Your day-to-day will involve:

• Managing the entire financial cycle, from bookkeeping and month-end closing to financial reporting and analysis.
• Working with the owner to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
• Providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Overseeing internal controls and ensuring financial compliance.
• Staying up to date with relevant accounting regulations and best practices.
