Leading independent group of companies based in Leeds currently has an exceptional opportunity to join one of their emerging divisions as Financial Controller. The company has outperformed the market in every sense of the word achieving exceptional growth each year for the past four years. Due to the entrepreneurial nature of the business they are looking for a commercially focused CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified accountant who can lead, develop and expand the current finance team. Initial responsibilities include:

• Ensure timely and accurate production of the monthly management accounts including income statements, cash flow and balance sheets.
• Preparation of annual budgets monitoring performance by a variety of metrics
• Overseeing and managing cash flow highlighting positive or negative variances
• Reporting directly to the board presenting and discussing opportunities to enhance profitability
• Involvement with the external audit team supporting year end statutory accounts production
• Liaising with external and internal stake holders on a regular basis discussing finance position with none finance areas
• Oversee and advise on potential future acquisitions.

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the following experience:

• ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified
• Previous experience within a fast paced dynamic business as a senior management accountant, finance manager preferably with management/mentoring experience.
• Previous experience within either subscription based business (gyms, property etc), construction or service sectors would be advantageous although not essential.
• Strong communication skills with a proven track record of achieving to specific deadlines
• Sage systems and advanced excel skills.
