Working Conditions While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to compile, organize, interpret, and communicate accounting data and results in a concise format.
Skill in using computer applications including spreadsheet, database, and word processing software especially Excel.
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.

Job Duties

Duties & Responsibilities Processes purchase requisitions, and submits approved invoices for payment. Tracks invoices submitted to the Accounting Department. Reconciles all outstanding payments. Prepares, monitors, and reviews financial transactions for assigned accounts.
Duties & Responsibilities Assists with budget forecasting, monitors expenses, prepares forms and documentations for expenditures, and prepares any necessary related forms and reports. Performs in-depth research; compiles, organizes, and analyzes information.
Duties & Responsibilities Monitors and tracks assigned departmental budgets; Identifies inconsistencies and assists personnel responsible for the administration of various budget activities.
Duties & Responsibilities Acknowledges departmental bi-weekly time worked for designated students and temporary employees.
Duties & Responsibilities Prepares financial analyses for assigned accounts.
Duties & Responsibilities Schedules and organizes meetings and other events. Serves on University teams and committees as needed. (Focus on Finance)
Duties & Responsibilities Serves as a financial information resource to internal staff, provides updates on the status of travel claims, reimbursements, and vendor payments.
