Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Financial Services Coordinator, Executive Education – Boca Raton, FL.

This position is fully focused on managing the financial services process for the graduate programs offered through the Executive Education Department in the College of Business. This position will ensure all programmatic functions are within guidelines and regulations. The position will work in collaboration with the Financial Aid and Controller’s office staff to create and implement “best practices” related to all student financial service activities in addition to Preparing Student Accounts reconciliation. The Financial Services coordinator will also Develop and maintain policy and procedures for proper handling of required documents needed to comply with federal, state, and institutional student account and financial aid guidelines maintaining students’ account records with accuracy. 

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Financial aid and Tuition payments for the Executive Master of Accounting and Taxation students.

  • Act as the liaison between Executive Education and Financial Aid to submit various forms and documents as requested by the Financial Aid department.

  • Set agendas and scheduled tasks for the Financial Services team to accomplish certain goals within specific timeframes within the semester to best serve the students.  This includes but is not limited to reaching out to students for missing documents, discussing financial aid status loan acceptance, etc.

  • Facilitate resolutions to student issues identified by the Financial Services team.

  • Train and assist Financial Services staff members in their job functions and responsibilities.

  • Manage and work directly with the financial services team to resolve student issues related to financial aid, drops, collections and AR Holds.

  • Assist the Corporate Billing Coordinator with the billing and invoice process every semester.

  • Audit all Corporate sponsored partners’ payment vouchers submitted to make sure the discounted tuition rate was properly applied.

  • Manage the Financial aid and Tuition payments for the Executive Master of Accounting and Taxation students.

  • Post late fees to delinquent accounts to incentivize future on-time payments.

  • Coordinate with the Controller’s Office to ensure delinquent accounts are sent to collection agencies.

  • Compile financial reports and reconcile semester tuition generated, payments collected and outstanding balance per program.

  • Prepare various reports for the Assistant Dean, Program Director, and Assistant Director of Executive Education, including but not limited to registration reports, Collection reports, and recognized revenue reports.

  • Produce academic calendars for various Executive Education programs each academic year.

  • Provide general office support if requested in other areas.

  • Other job-duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of appropriate experience.
Experience working with student accounts, financial aid, bursars’ office, and tuition payments, and/or adults in an educational environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Effective problem-solving, creative-thinking abilities.
Self-motivated, task-oriented.
Customer service orientation and negotiation skills.
Highly adaptable.
Confident public speaking and presenting.
Ability to connect with a diverse group of individuals.
Knowledge of Banner, Workday, VIP, CRM system and Adobe.
Collections, Third Party Billing, and Veterans Affairs.
Microsoft Office, with a heavy emphasis on Excel.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Salary:

$75,000 – $80,000 per year.
