About the role

This Senior Case Manager is responsible for providing all aspects of case management of complex caseloads and for the completion of Part B assessments whilst offering support to the family to ensure children and young people settle into their new placements and carers have the support and equipment, they require to help the child and/or young person to thrive.

The role will also provide support to the team leader in supporting new and current staff to ensure they are managing their day to day case management task.

About You

  • At least 3 years case management experience in the child welfare field.
  • Demonstrated commitment and understanding for the values that underpin VACCA’ vision and purpose
  • Demonstrated awareness and appreciation of Aboriginal societies and cultures, and commitment to continually build knowledge of such, along with a high level of awareness of the key issues which impact upon Aboriginal communities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and practice experience in the child welfare field.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying risks in case management/work practice and implements procedures to minimise/eliminate negative outcomes and improve practice.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing accurate documents and reports e.g. case notes, incidents reports, court reports, work reports that meet audience needs.

REQUIREMENTS

  • You must have and continue to hold a full Victorian Driver’s Licence, a current employment Working with Children Check card and a clear National Police Check
  • Current up to date COVID-19 vaccination, including booster doses as applicable.
