- Salary: $90,000 per annum + 11.5% super
- 6 Weeks leave + 17.5% leave loading
- NFP Salary packaging (tax savings on $15000)
- Relocation assistance up to $1500
- Furnished accommodation provided
- Based in Wadeye (fly in/out open to negotiation)
This is a new position that is responsible for supporting the sustainable development, management, and promotion of the fisheries and aquaculture industries within Wadeye and the surrounding regions. The role involves working closely with the local indigenous community and other stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners and research institutions to implement strategies that enhance the development of micro family businesses on homelands
About You:
- Qualifications in Fisheries, Aquaculture, Environmental Science or related field
- 5 years’ experience in similar position
- Strong knowledge of industry trends, challenges and opportunities
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and project management skills
- Understanding of relevant laws, regulations and environmental standards
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
Essential Licences / Clearances
- Coxswain Certificate Minimum Grade 3 near Coastal NC
- Minium C class drivers’ licence including manual vehicle operation
- National Police check
- NT working with children check (Ochre card)
- NLC Work / Resident permits
