Fisheries Technician III

Involves field, office, public outreach, and report writing. Incumbent will work with minimal supervision and expected to problem solve and orient tasks efficiently. Candidates must have field experience with Pacific Northwest fish species and be familiar with standard fisheries gear and techniques such as rotary-screw traps, seine nets, trap nets, measuring and anesthetizing fish, PIT tagging, recording data, Redd surveys, habitat surveys, snorkeling. Must be able to work outside in rough terrain and walk several miles per day, with a pack that may weigh 50 lb. Must have satisfactory data analysis and writing skills.
