Work Schedule | 8:00 am-4:30 pm Monday-Friday with ‘on-call’ designation. This position is designated as ‘mandatory’ and, when contacted to report to work, its incumbent is expected to reach the campus as expeditiously as possible using normal precautions as dictated by the adverse weather conditions. |
Primary Purpose of Position | This is a Facility Maintenance Technician (Mechanical Trades) at the Journey level with a specialty in HVAC. The position is to be fully functioning in a particular trade area. Additionally, this position is expected to be able to perform all general maintenance work at the contributing level. This position may also be given the opportunity to perform/learn another trade discipline either at the contributing or journey level. Tasks may include maintenance, repair, placement, fabrication, installation, alteration, construction, and design of facility components in assigned zone or core maintenance. |
Minimum Education/Experience | Required Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from high school or equivalent. Experience in the trade(s) areas related to the position’s role may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. University Preferred Qualifications: Graduation from high school or equivalent and two years’ experience. Experience in the trade(s) areas related to the position’s role may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. |
