Food For Thought School Gardens Partnership Officer

Devon Development Education (DDE) is inviting applications for the post of ‘Food For Thought
School Gardens Partnerships’ Officer for its Food For Thought School Linking programme. This
programme links primary schools in Devon, Plymouth and Cornwall with very rural government
primary schools in 2 districts of Uganda (Mubende and Tororo) with a focus on sustainable
organic food growing, the challenges of climate change and global citizenship.

Classroom teaching experience is essential for this post. A teaching qualification is desirable
but not essential. Access to transport and ability to travel to schools is essential.

This post is 8 hours a week, over 2 days, for 12 months.

Salary is £16 an hour, approx. £31,200 pa, pro rata.
