Acres and Acres CO-OP, in partnership with VicHealth, is thrilled to offer two full-time opportunities for individuals aged 18-25 who are eager to dive deep into the world of local, sustainable food systems.
About Acres and Acres CO-OP:
We’re a not-for-profit community project aimed at creating a closed-loop food system in Corryong and the broader North East Victoria region. From growing to selling, and managing our food waste, we’re committed to sustainability and community empowerment.
Role Description & Opportunity:
This unique role is divided into two components:
- Operational Support: Work closely with our Food Hub Coordinator and Managing Director in the day-to-day operations of the Food Hub and market gardens:
- Training Program: Participate in a training program facilitated by VicHealth, designed to enhance your skills, provide networking opportunities, and ensure work readiness.
The Youth Shop Position will be based in Corryong.
Key Responsibilities for Youth Shop position:
- Support the operations of Acres and Acres CO-OP.
- Assist with the logistics of running the Food Hub.
- Participate in the development of marketing strategies and operational policies.
- A taste of All aspects of small-scale Market Gardening
- Support in events
- Social media and communications
- Become an active member of the Youth Food Network, advocating for local food system transformation.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Can take direction
- Self starter
- A keen interest in learning about regenerative food systems.
- Willingness to engage in teamwork and community collaboration.
- Physical capability to perform farm-site and Food Hub operational tasks.

Conditions of Employment:
- Full-time, fixed-term contract for one year.
- Must hold a current Australian motor vehicle licence and Victorian Working with Children Check.
